Popcorn Time is an open-source free platform from where you can download or stream your favorite content live online. It performs as a piracy alternative to Netflix, since it doesn’t download unauthorized copies of the content, but rather uses sequential downloading and uploading to play the content via its media player. Similar to Kodi, Popcorn Time is an open-source Bittorent client software with a really slick media player. One of these new successors, Popcorntime.sh (formerly popcorntime.io), has been endorsed as the official successor by the original team behind the popcorn time service. While the original service had to close down following several law suits and controversies involving users’ privacy, several successors to the service have since lined up with different domain names but almost the exact same idea and service. It’s a Bittorrent Client that was launched in 2014 and since then has become incredible popular because of its free nature and incredible UI.
